Old German 7/8 Double Bass (looking for a kind caring owner)
This instrument has had a long but abusive life. When it arrived in our workshop for a full restoration it was held together with wood screws and nails and with many body scars – but even then it sounded good. It was a complete pull-apart restoration, that required over 300 hours work.
In its new fully-restored life, we have added a raised saddle to ease the top tension, a C extension for the powerful bottom end and a false nut to make it a D neck and a 107cm stop.
