]]> This Gliga Professional Vasile Cello is a faithful recreation of an old master; the 1739 Domenica Montagna (Venice) instrument, ‘Sleeping Beauty’. This shorter, wider version of the standard Stradivari pattern has been handcrafted in the “inner sanctum” of Vasile Gliga’s Romanian workshop in sycamore maple, using wood with outstanding tone that has been naturally dried for many years. The outline of the instrument’s body is deepened and the plates are precisely graduated. Special attention has been given to the deeply etched and well highlighted scroll. All fittings have been manufactured by the Gliga company.
