NS DIRADIAL BODY: The concave back profile provides a sense of comfort and stability against the torso. The front of the instrument is more tightly radiused, which, in combination with the general wedge shape of the body, creates a more comfortable orientation to the right hand. The configuration of the body cutaway provides easy access to the highest frets. The tuning system is integrated into the body. 

NS RADIUS NECK: The headless, one-piece bolt-on maple neck has 24 frets, a 34″ scale, and a familiar 15″ radius. A volute provides thumb reference at the nut. String slots in the aluminum headplate eliminate the need for a headstock with heavy tuning machines. Conveniently accessed from the top of the neck, the heavy-duty steel double-action reinforcing truss rod, with its patented differential thread drive, gives both rigidity and precise relief control.

BRIDGE & SADDLE: The aluminum one-piece bridge and saddle assembly provide broad height and angle adjustment, allowing the player to precisely tailor the action and adjust the intonation.

NS POLAR/EMG HIGH IMPEDANCE DUAL PICKUP SYSTEM: Active electronics, including the 9-volt onboard preamp and EQ, integrate a magnetic custom EMG RADIUS pickup and the NS bridge-mounted Polar pickup. The EMG pickup has a radiused top and magnetic structure to optimize the tone and harmonics from every string. The Polar pickup is a unique piezo design, combining a tight and powerful low end with exceptional clarity. The WAV offers master volume and balance controls, along with separate tone controls for each pickup.

GIG BAG: The WAV RADIUS bass guitar includes a padded gig bag with a handle, adjustable backpack straps and a large front zipper pocket with room for cables and gear. The loaded gig bag will fit in the overhead compartment of most commercial aircraft.

Polar Pickup System

The reserve power of a well set up electric violin makes the instrument easier to play than a conventional acoustic. The NS WAV Electric Violin’s rock maple bridge is easily adjustable for the playing style and action height you prefer; high and powerful like a traditional violin, low and fast like an electric guitar, or anywhere in between. The ebony fingerboard is graduated for each string to optimize the tone and playability of every note. The neck is smooth and fast, with traditional thumb reference points for the scroll and heel. The removable bout provides accurate position reference for players accustomed to using the traditional body shape for reference.

Accurate, stable tuners are the key to in-tune performance. The patented self-clamping tuning mechanism automatically grips the string ever more tightly as tension is applied, and the micrometer tuning is smooth and precise. This rock solid tuning is light years ahead of the friction tuners found on traditional instruments.

Light weight and good balance are the essential comfort factors for any electric violin. The fully carved interior of the NS WAV Electric Violin keeps the weight to the minimum, and the body mounted tuners bring the center of gravity back over the shoulder where it belongs. The WAV includes the Custom Shoulder Rest, which allows you to shape and adjust the padded base to the contours of your shoulder and chest, for a secure and comfortable fit. Also included with the instrument is the ergonomically contoured ebony chin rest, designed to work in tandem with the Custom Shoulder Rest for control, comfort and security. The optional Adjustable Chin Rest is also available for players wanting a more extensive range of position adjustments for more customized fit and comfort. The WAV also accepts NS Design’s revolutionary Balanced Shoulder Rest, which “floats” the instrument in the desired playing position.

The NS WAV Electric Violin comes complete with fabric covered hardshell case with handle and shoulder strap. It’s padded on the inside, with room for your bow, and compartments for the shoulder rest, output cable, and extra gear.
