Laborie Q model Double Bass 3/4 - Sold The Q bass was developed  to make an affordable instrument with the correct physical and tonal characteristics so that students of bass would not be impeded by the instrument. Master bass builder, Christian Laborie was commissioned with the task and today students in secondary school and universities around the world are enjoying his accomplishment. Upper bout: 48.5cm, or 19 1/8 inches. Lower bout: 65 cm or 25 5/8 inches. Rib depth at neck joint is 14.5 cm or 5 3/4 inches. String length is 104 cm or 41 inches.
