Restoration : Too far gone?

When this old 5 string bass came in I rolled my eyes and thought that sometimes basses just get beyond restoration. Many parts of this bass had been completely destroyed or were missing however 400 hours later the bass was playable, and is now being used in the Brisbane Symphony Orchestra.
