2009 Double Bass Conference: Teacher Training Course
The teacher training course at the 2009 Double Bass Conference will be taught by George Vance from Washington. George Vance is a very experienced teacher,author of Progressive repertoire for double bass and has studied with many great bassists. In the past year he has been helping Francois Rabbath edit some pieces from his newest volume of Nouvelle Technique La Contrabass. Throughout the teacher training course he will cover in detail Poucha Dass, Breiz, Kobolds, Sete Quate, War & Peace and Les Trois Petits Suisse from the new volume, which is yet to be published. Participants should have familiarity with some of these pieces and also have a sound knowledge of the 3 volumes of The Progressive Repertoire.
