Making a Quenoil copy.

The spruce top and poplar back & sides are planed, glued and cut to approximate size.

The back and top are carved to shape and then finished with a thumb plane and scraper.
The sides are fed through the drum sander for exact thickness
The sides are heat bent to the profile of the bass
Sides are fitted and glued to the blocks in the mould.
Linings are bent and glued and the back is glued to the sides. The mould is now removed.
All the internal carving is done including fitting the bass bar and the top is glued.
Carving the F holes
A raised saddle is fitted.
Neck is traced
Neck is roughed out and scroll is carved
Varnished and setup
