English Bass Resoration
The hot dry summer of 2007/2008 caused a number of cracks and problems.
It was decided to remove the top and deal with an accumulation of cracks from the last 100 years or so. The bass had been built by an amateur maker so it was a good time to replace the bass bar and rethickness some of the obvious lumps in the belly.The 20 or so cracks in the top were cleaned out and reglued and cleated.	Canvas was removed from the inside of the ribs, linings replaced and cracks repaired and reinforced.
Glued back together and 150 years of grime polished off.
